  4. those are absolutely amazing! I love them
    : )

  5. These are great shots … I don’t know if it’s just me, but apart from the first and fourth pictures, there’s something scary/grotesque-like about this shots. not a bad thing, but I can’t help imagining them in some sort of alien world where some unknown creature is about to come crawling out… maybe my imagination is on over load this morning!
    Keep up the interesting posts!

  6. very cool images, amazing clarity. What camera do you use?

    • Thank you. I have a 3 year old Canon sx30is, that I am trying to relearn. The photos you saw were taken two years ago when I could actuality use the thing 🙂

      • well it worked! Mine are mostly taken with a smart phone. Been thinking of buying a professional camera, but given when I take my photos, likely wouldn’t have it with me when I needed it anyway. Can definitely see the difference in quality with your shots. Well done!

  7. Thank you I appreciate the comment. I don’t have a professorial camera its sort of in between, beside I have seen some phone shots on here that had me fooled

  8. Great photos!! I love how colorful they are!

  9. Very nice and colorful macro shots, Bob!

    • Thank you Becky, I cheated a bit and used a clip on lens call a DCR 350 I believe, it is basically just a magnifying glass type of lens that clips inside you current lens It magnifies 10 times your normal macro view. We both know my macro lens cant take shots like these 🙂

      • Not sure I’d call it cheating, so much as having what you need paired with the talent to get great shots! In the first picture I see enough of your reflection to see how close you were and the size of your lens, and the photographs turned out great! You could have gotten fairly close and taken decent pictures with just your camera, but you’re right — you probably never could have gotten photos taken THIS close that had THIS much clarity without the extra lens — I’ve tried, lol! I love these shots!

      • Thanks Becky, I have looked at the first photo many times and never noticed the reflection of my hands. In many of these shots you had to get so close you would touch the subject, it was a bugger to use.

  10. Very cool eye caching pics!

  11. Great photos with great perspective!
